The impatience of those of us who are awaitingThe Elder Scrolls VIis nothing new - and you can hardly blame us.
Bethesdafirst unveiledThe Elder ScrollsVIin 2018 which, yes, was six years ago.
And I can’t say there have particularly been any fruitful updates since then.

It was suggested thata playable buildwas available internally, but that build could still be a primitive one.
The truth is that there’s no way to tell how far alongThe Elder Scrolls VI’s development is.
It’s suspected though that the game is still a way off.
Bethesda has been quietly beavering away on this thing for a long while, but it certainly hasn’t been the studio’s focus until recently.

WithStarfield’sShattered Spaceexpansion now having been released, it’s more likely that Bethesda will have shifted man-power over toThe Elder Scrolls VI.
Even still, it could be years until a full reveal is ready. Let alone the game’s release.
And it’s with that in mind that fans are discussing which console generation the game might actually launch in.
Take a look at that original teaser trailer below.
As I said, this is all very hard to predict but the general consensus is that we’re unlikely to see a teaser before 2026.

That could place the game’s launch in 2027, but so too is it plausible that it may land in 2028 or beyond.
You see, typically, both Sony and Microsoft opt for six to seven year long console life cycles.
That could then placeThe Elder Scrolls VIas a next-gen title, opening up the possibility of it being a next-gen exclusive.

“The game is also absolutely NOT coming out before 2028,”saidReddit user Xilvereight, preparing for the worst.
“My guess is teaser 2026, trailer 2027, deep dive and release 2028,”addedsirTonyHawk.
Bethesda will want to get this game right, especially asStarfieldended up being so divisive so I’d prepare yourself for a long wait.
