The map forThe Elder Scrolls VIis huge, ifthis leak is to be believed.

We’ve clowned ourselves into thinking all sorts of things aboutThe Elder Scrolls VI, so we now approach every leak with cautious optimism.

If it turns out to be true, fantastic. If it doesn’t, well, we knew it was a long shot.

The leak in question comes from 4chan, a platform that’s been known to be occasionally accurate aboutBethesdareleases in the past, although there’s plenty of nonsense on there too.

It’s a point the OP mentions before diving into the potential features the nextThe Elder Scrollstitle reportedly includes.

Listed are details about the map size, which sound “too good to be true”.

Then again, as the OP alsoadded, “I have no idea how big a handcrafted Bethesda game can be nowadays.”

At least they’re honest.

Starfieldis a pretty sizeable game – it has 1,000 planets across 100 star systems – so it’s not like Bethesda shies away from creating expansive worlds for us to get lost in.

Nonetheless, 13 cities to explore, some of which are “6x” bigger than Whiterun doesn’t seem feasible.

Does it?

Therealistic size of Windhelmhas proven that while these locations may not seem that big, they are once you remove the narrative and simply admire the region.

But, as you’ll recall me saying mere paragraphs ago, we need to be mindful of how easy wishful thinking becomes so-called fact.

“No mention of the Direnni Tower? A city 6x as big? No Thieves Guild? Seems fishy if I’m honest,” remarked Person8346.

For those who are quietly optimistic about what’s been shared here, including the massive map size, TheShivMaster summaries it best, “It’s all believable, but it’s also very easy to make up.”

Let’s end on this note: if the map is this big, we’ll be playing this game for years to come. It looks likeSkyrimmay finally have competition on that front.
