Announced during E3 2018, fans of Bethesda’sThe Elder Scrollsseries were buzzing with excitement when we were treated to the reveal trailer ofThe Elder Scrolls VI. Unfortunately for us, it’s been nearly six years since its reveal and will still know practically nothing about the game.

It’s quite baffling to think that all these years later, fans are still left in the dark about the development progress of the sixth-numbered entry inBethesda’sever-popular fantasy RPG series. We don’t know what story it will tell, where it will be set or what it will look like. We don’t even have a release date. That being said, some fans do believe that thelocation ofThe Elder Scrolls VImay have been teased inStarfieldyears ago.

Naturally, fans are disappointed with the lack of news and some are even worried thatThe Elder Scrolls VImight not evenbe released on the Xbox Series X/Sand might be a next-gen title. Which let’s be honest, is not outside the realms of possibility at this point. With that in mind, fans on Reddit have been sharing their grief not knowing whenThe Elder Scrolls VIwill be released.
“The Elder Scrolls VIofficial announcement teaser was released five years ago today,”exclaimedHarrison Allen. “It was 10 June 2018 after theFallout 76gameplay reveal and theStarfieldannouncement.” At the time of writing, it’s now been six years since that announcement.
“I had just graduated high school when theThe Elder Scrolls VItrailer was released, and I was so excited to play the game in college. Anyway, I just finished college,” replied Ziqox123, putting into perspective just how long we’ve all been waiting.

As you can imagine, much of the Reddit thread shares a similar sentiment. Hopefully, in the coming months, Bethesda might treat us to some gameplay and at least a release window, but I won’t be holding my breath.
