Several community-requested features should drop in the coming months, including thelong-awaited addition of city maps. There is, of course, also theShattered Spaceexpansion which we know very little about other than it should land in the latter half of 2024. Eventually, the focus will shift toThe Elder Scrolls VIat which point development will speed up. Even still, it’s a game that’s years and years away from release.

In aninterviewwith The Telegraph, Bethesda head Todd Howard did offer a brief tease of the project: “We want it to fill that role of the ultimate fantasy world simulator. And there are different ways to accomplish that given the time that has passed.” While I adoreStarfieldand feel it’s a far greater experience than most people give it credit for, I do agree that it’s in need of a few tweaks, so here’s to hoping thatThe Elder Scrolls VIlearns from that - and that its NPCs are less dead behind the eyes.

He’s holding his cards close to his chest but it’s exciting to hear aboutThe Elder Scrolls VI’s development nonetheless. For now, Bethesda fans will have to settle for the countdown to the reveal of theShattered Spaceexpansion.
