However, what Howard has realised is that the team should have spent more time supportingThe Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimandFallout4.
“We would look back atSkyrim, which we’re still updating to a small extent and there’s all of the creations and mods there – still a hugely played game,” he explained. “Same withFallout 4. That we wish we had supported them longer, and we’re still doing work there.”
Although both titles welcomed multiple DLCs and next-gen upgrades, Howard believes they should have still had longer support cycles and that is something the team will focus on for upcoming projects such asThe Elder Scrolls 6andFallout 5.

“We know people are going to play it for a long time and so it’s not just what it means for content. It goes further than that,” Howard continued. “The type of game, what it means for your character, what it means for other things to say, ‘Hey, can this be something that you come back to?’
We see that withSkyrim. What people do in the game today, even though it’s popular, what are people doing when they come back to the game after putting it down for a few years?”
It seems as though Bethesda will support upcoming titles “on a month-to-month” basis so it remains to be seen what total support from the team will look like for these highly-anticipated titles.
