
Developers of The Elder Scrolls return with a promising upcoming fantasy RPG considered to be a spiritual successor to the series that recently had a successful Kickstarter campaign.
The Elder Scrolls is one of the most popular video game properties of all time that has immersed generations and will continue to inspire developers for years to come. However, as for what the future of theBethesdaseries holds, back in 2018,The Elder Scrolls VIwas revealed to the world during E3 but since that time, we’ve heard very little else about the title.

At the time, we have no idea as to whenThe Elder ScrollsVIwill be released but some fear that itwill be a next-gen title. Either way, when that time comes, hopefully, the next entry of the beloved fantasy RPG series will knock it out of the park and will not be plagued with infamous Bethesda bugs at launch.

However, while we wait for the arrival ofThe Elder Scrolls VI, you might want to check out this upcomingindieRPG. The game in question is calledThe Wayward Realmsand leading the project are Ted Paterson and Julian Lefay, who in 1996 worked onThe Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.
The Wayward Realmspromises to have an “ever-changing setting with “procedurally generated cities, dungeons, towns, and points of interest scattered between, allowing for adventures and exploration of epic proportions not seen in any other game.”

At the time of writing,The Wayward Realmsdoes not have a release date as it’s in the very early stages of development. Its Kickstarter page does mention an intended launch of December 2025 but as with most crowdfunding campaigns, delays can be expected.
