The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivionremake could be coming in 2025. At least, that’s according to an industry insider who claims it will be revealed very soon.

We all lovedOblivion, right? This entry inBethesda’s flagship RPG series appealed to both fans of the genre and newcomers who wanted accessible passage into the foray of open-world adventures.

Popular for its huge open world and memorable quests, as well as a large number of charming bugs,Oblivionis still just as enjoyable today as it was nearly two decades ago.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivionfirst released in 2006, here’s the original trailer!

While rumours of a remaster or remake of the 2006 game have been festering for years, we may have just got another indication that Bethesda plans to re-release the iconic RPG sometime in 2025.

That’s not all, but he also suggests the remake could be released as early as 2025.

Of course, since this is a rumour we do recommend you take it with a pinch of salt until we get confirmation.

The developer has worked on games likeDead Island 2,Horizon: Forbidden West, andCall of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Previous rumours also suggested it would be made in Unreal Engine 5, and a multi-platform release acrossPC,Xbox, andPlayStation.

These rumours first circulated after documents surfaced during FTC’s investigation into Microsoft’s acquisition ofActivision Blizzard.

The documents, dated from 2020, revealed that Bethesda were developing anOblivionremake with a targeted 2022 release date. Since then, nothing else has been confirmed on the matter.

Additionally, a fan-made mod calledSkyblivionwhich remakesOblivioninSkyrim’s engine is also due to release in 2025.
