The Last of Us Part 1 player spots interesting detail we’ve never noticed before

A Reddit user has noticed a detail inThe Last of Us Part Ithat you may not have noticed before and in its subtle way, it’s a cool little Easter egg.

WhenThe Last of Uswas first released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, it not only pushed this ageing console to its limits but also let the gaming community know that developerNaughty Dogwas more than just theCrash Bandicootand theUnchartedseries. It was a new gritty direction for the studio which would later spawn a remake, remasters and a sequel.

The most recent release in the series is a PlayStation 5 remaster of the sequel which was released in January this year. I am about to go into spoiler territory forThe Last of Us Part IandThe Last of Us Part II, so consider this to be yourspoiler warningbefore you proceed to read ahead.

Without giving too much away, there’s a point inThe Last of Us Part Iwhen we see the town of Jackson, the home of Joel’s brother Tommy, and his wife, Maria. In the sequel, this becomes a home for Joel.

Some fans on the Reddit thread have debated whether it is Joel’s house seen in the first game and after close inspection, I believe that it is. I could very well be wrong but that’s my two cents anyway.

The Last of Us Part Iis out now on PC and PlayStation, while its sequel is out on PS4 and PS5, at the time of writing.
