At the heart of its story are Ellie and Joel. The story of The Last of Us was so well told, that it not only evolved into a live-action TV series from HBO which was released earlier this year, but prior to that in 2020 we got a sequel onPS4withThe Last of Us Part II.
Much like the game of 2013,The Last of Us Part IIwas one of PS4’s last major exclusives and would push the system to its absolute limits. I won’t go into story details to avoid spoilers, but in terms of visuals at least, the sequel is simply stunning when you consider that it’s on a last-gen platform.
What’s more, the sequel looked and played better than ever thanks to a new-gen update onPS5. This meant that the game not only looked a bit better in a more crisp 4K resolution, but it also runs at a silky smooth 60fps.
