Last month,The Last of Us Part IIofficially turned three years old. How time flies! It seems like only yesterday that fans of the series were screaming, crying and throwing up over a certain golf-related spoiler which happens within the game’s opening hours, but maybe that’s because they never really stopped.
AlthoughThe Last of Us Part IIreleased solely on the PS4 (since thePS5didn’t hit stores for a few months after the game’s release), there’s no doubt that it’s still a stunning sequel - fans recentlyhailed it as having the greatest video game graphics of all time. Now though, as Dexertoreports, we may have just received our first big hint that a PS5 re-release is on the way.

Now, it needs to be said that this shouldn’t be taken as hard confirmation - he could have been joking, speculating, or even talking about his wishes for any future instalments of The Last of Us. It’s still pretty promising though, but it makes you wonder what a PS5 re-release ofPart IIwould actually consist of. After all, the existing version already got a new-gen update, so it’s not that it needs a frame rate boost.
