That message has stuck with one fan who recently claimed just the thought of apotential third sequelhas stopped them considering suicide.

“I have depression and I have been fighting it for almost two years. In the meantime, I considered ending my life more than once, being modest, until I discovered this beautiful universe,” they continued. “After immediately falling in love with The Last Of Us, I started seeing posts and considering the arrival of the third game, until I thought ‘I won’t be able to consider such an act until I know this game’, this ended up coming automatically, and despite believing thatPart IIis the definitive ending, I end up getting so excited about the idea of a third game, that I start to value the continuity of my life to be able to see this work.”
It’s an incredible reminder that video games really do have the potential to save lives.
