It has officially been a year since HBO released the first season ofThe Last of Usand now 12 months later, we have finally got our first glimpse at some of the actors who will be joining the show for its second season. WithIsabela Mercedtaking on the role of Ellie’s love interest Dina andYoung Mazinoplaying Jesse, we are already off to a good start.

In an interview with GamesRadar+, Ramseysaid: “I’m incredibly happy with who has been cast. It’s exciting for me. I’m happy to have a whole new bunch of people come and join the family. It’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
It turns out that Ramsey and Dever had met previous to being cast inThe Last of Us.“I’ve met Kaitlyn once in the most stupid place [at] a gala. I met Kaitlyn there very briefly when we were waiting for our cars. I knew they were talking to her about casting at that point, so it was just sort of quietly like ‘Hey’ and shared numbers and stuff.”
They added: “She’s excellent, Isabel and Young as well, I’m really excited to get going with all of them.”
Despite delays during the writer’s strike,The Last of Usseason two is set to begin filming soon and will cover the events of Naughty Dog’sThe Last of Us Part II.With the show’s first season seeing record breaking figures, there is no doubt its second season will be received just as well.
