Nintendohas just revealed that some brand new, freeThe Legend of Zeldacontent is coming to theNintendo Switchon December 20, so I hope you’re in the mood for some puzzling gameplay this Christmas.
As announced onthe official Nintendo UK Twitteraccount, a new theme based onThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomwill be coming toTetris 99at the end of this week– but you’re gonna have to work for it if you want it.
To unlock the new theme forever, you’ll have to “compete in online battles" and “collect at least 100 event points to unlock theThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomtheme inTetris 99permanently.”

To make matters worse, the event is only running from the 20th to the 24th of December so you’ll only have four days to grind online battles in an attempt to earn enough points.
So how feasible will this actually be to unlock? Well, that depends on how good you are at Tetris.
If you get first place in anyTetris 99online battle during the event, you’ll earn the 100 points required to unlock theEchoes of Wisdomtheme in one go.
That would of course require you to beat 98 other players though, which is easier said than done. A lot of folks take Tetris very, very seriously.

Just make sure you set some time aside if you’re super keen to earn theEchoes of Wisdomtheme though, as the trailer implies that this event might be the only time it’s attainable.
