The journey undertaken while travelling the Witches’ Road has been a turbulent one, but finally we’ve reached its end.
Death was always going to hunt those who walked it, but fans still weren’t prepared for this character to meet their demise.
There have been hints, stirrings if you will, suggesting that Agatha herself may die in thisMarveladaptation. However, none believed it would truly happen.
We’re sorry to say that you should have had more faith in how committedAgatha All Along’s showrunner, Jac Schaeffer, is.

We know, we know, it’s a lot to take in.
With the coven having been slowly whittled down, we learnt in the final two episodes that Rio, aka Death, is unhappy with Billy’s existence.
You see, according to Rio, the teenager has upset the “sacred balance” of things.
He needs to die properly this time.

But Agatha, knowing the teen quite well now, knows that he must give himself willing if he’s to stay dead – he could just reincarnate himself otherwise.
A lot of drama unfolds before we reach the climax of this deal born between Agatha and Rio, including Jen discovering it was Agatha all along who bound her.
Billy also finishes his trial thanks to a little help from dear old Agatha, which as you can imagine, angers Rio.
Left to face Death’s wrath, a showdown of sorts begins.

In all the commotion, Billy comes back to aid Agatha, only for the witch to seemingly turn on him.
Her plan with Rio revealed, Billy mentally connects with Agatha to ask her if this is similar to the fate that befell her son.
Death, however, isn’t quite as final as it has been for other witches. Although Agatha doesn’t come back to life, she does return as a ghost.
It’ssetting up a sequel for Phase 6quite nicely, don’t you think?
