Sadly, if PC gamers are just restricted to a single platform, they’ve not been able to playRed Dead Redemption, because unlikeRed Dead Redemption 2, the original game has never been released on PC. Well, at least not yet.

Thanks to an update on Rockstar Games’ PC launcher, it seems thatRed Dead Redemptionis finally coming to PC, 14 years after it was released on consoles. It’s unclear whether this will be a straight-up port like the recentPlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch releaseor whether it will come with some additional bells and whistles.

However, ifRed Dead Redemptionis finally released on PC (and it’s looking likely) and it is an underwhelming port, you just know that the talented modding community will have it covered. While it might be too much to expect a full fanmade remake, it’s not outside the realms of possibility that modders will at least give us a glorious remaster.

Can you imagine how goodRed Dead Redemptionwill look with ray tracing and path tracing technology as well as improved character models and environmental textures? And that’s not even taking into account all the weird and wacky mods that will eventually be released.
