Rockstar’ssecond go at a Western fantasy has some surprisingly chilling moments, and fans believe they’ve found the creepiest one of all, The Strange Man.

The Strange is actually a recurring character in theRed Dead Redemptionseries, appearing several times in the first game, he informs John Marston that he knows all about his past and future, seemingly predicting the protagonist’s death at the end of the game.

His identity is still unknown, and a huge topic of debate amongst fans, with some believing he’s Death, The Devil or God themself.

He also appears briefly in Red Dead Redemption 2 which fans are hailing as the game’s creepiest moment.

The encounter takes place in a random cabin housing a portrait of the man, only for him to appear behind the player in a reflection.

Other fans agreed, especially since his appearance is once again unexplained with added creepiness that someone was putting together a makeshift shrine for them out in the wild.

“The fact that he’s not there when you turn around and look back at the mirror is creepy.”
