One fan on Reddit had the answer,sayingas the comics come to an end there comes a time where the zombie supply is “running low.”

It’ll be interesting to see if the spin-off shows ofThe Walking Deadeventually lead to some sort of epilogue special, where everyone gets their happy ending safe from the infection at last.
