It’s not often that video games based uponTV and moviesknock it out of the park, but whenThe Warriorsvideo game adaptation was released in 2005 forPlayStation2 and the originalXbox, it joined an elite group alongside the likes ofSpider-Man 2,GoldenEye 007,The Thing, and more. However,The Warriorsgame is not to be confused with the woefulStreet Brawlof 2009 released on Xbox Live Arcade. Avoid that game, at all costs.

A petition that wascreated onChange.Org and has so far generated over 5,000 signatures and it needs your help to give it a much-needed boost. At the time of writing, the petition to bringThe Warriorsto PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S has received over 400 signatures so far this week as it sets to achieve its next milestone goal of 7,500. “I’m creating this petition because I believe thatThe Warriorsdeserves a complete remake and graphic overhaul,” pleads the petition organiser Jaiden Thornton.
It’s unlikely that this petition will result in Rockstar Games commissioning a remake forThe Warriors, but we can at least try to give them a nudge if you’re a fan of its movie inspiration.
If all else fails, the originalThe Warriorsgame is available to purchase as a PS2 classic title on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It has an RRP of £11.99, but it’s often discounted to around £7.50 every other month.
