“You areGeralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. Before you stand a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will,” reads the synopsis of the game. “Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.”

Now, before I proceed, I am about to go into spoiler territory for an event inThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntrelated to the character Moritz Diefenthel, so please consider this to be yourspoiler warning.

Moritz Diefenthel is a mage and once an acquaintance of Triss Merigold, who, let’s say, he had a bit of a thing for. There is a point inThe Witcher3: Wild Hunt, where Moritz is offered to join a mages guild but refuses.

“Usually I always just let him get singed but this time around, I decided to see what would happen if I stepped in and saved him. Needless to say, I was not expecting a cutscene like that after the squabble with the Redanians and the Witch Hunters,” they continued.

“I had no idea. Now I want I run around Novigrad slaughtering witch hunters… And maybe the occasional soldier just to see if there are more scripted scenes,” declared piratecoach.

“Played four times through and probably 700 hrs, and I never knew that either,” replied lemmywinks11 with Arrrginine69 adding “Same! 400 hours here. Mind blown.”

It’s fair to say that much of the Reddit thread didn’t know about this alternate ending to the fate of Moritz Diefenthel either, which is cool to see.
