Listen, we have all been there. We have all stood on a tall ledge in the latest RPG and asked ourselves whether the game has fall damage before throwing ourselves off it anyway. That’s the only way to find out, right?
However, the case majority of the time is that, yes, this game does have fall damage and you and your broken ankles must now take themselves back to the latest save point.
Check outThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntbelow!
That is definitely the case inThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntas despite being a highly trained Witcher, Geralt’s arch-nemesis seems to be gravity as the slightest fall will drain the majority of his health.

However, almost 10-years on from release, one player has seemingly come up with a way to save Geralt’s life if he sees himself falling from a great height.
The tip was found over on GameFAQs in reply to a fellow player asking how to avoid fall damage to which the aforementioned playerreplied: “So after playing around with a few of the potions in game, I discovered that if you drink Superior White Raffard’s Decoction (the one that grants invincibility for a short time) just before you hit the ground, you won’t die. The death animation and sound will play out but you’ll stand up immediately after just fine.”
Although this tip will require players to carry a stash of potions around at all times, it is definitely worth using if you find yourself falling from a great height. It is especially handy if you haven’t saved for a while.
