During a quest that sees you break out of captivity during a feast in Kaer Trolde, Geralt can encounter a bunch of murderous animals.

As is revealed once you defeat them, the animals in question were simply hallucinations.
This little segment can play out in one of two ways; you either defeat them, at which point Yen will inform you that you were simply tripping balls and wildly swinging your weapon at stuffed animals, or you can die.

Turns out, there’s actually a secret third option that was removed from the game - but still present withinThe Witcher 3’s files.

Geralt will come to moments later, informing Yen that “I’m dead. They killed me.”
Associate director at CD Projekt Red, Pawel Sasko, commented on xLetalis’ post poking fun at the community for taking so long to discover this secret.
“Oh, glad to see it was found,”he commented, “I made it in 2014, took you a while.”
