The Witcher 3 players wowed by open-world secret found after 350 hours

The level of detail in some games always amazes me, no matter how many great stories I hear or read about, it astounds me that developers put in some many little treats for us.

Doing this job, I get to hear about things from games I’ve played and loved, discovering things I would never have known without places like Reddit, like this tidbit fromThe Witcher 3.

The Witcher 4was shown off properly at The Game Awards last week

A playerreported on Redditthat despite playingThe Witcher 3for over 350 hours, they didn’t know about special interactions with the wildlife.

They commented, “I don’t know why I’ve never tried it before, but all the doe and deer will follow u if you use axii. Kind of insane, I never noticed this.”

They posted a picture of the deer following Geralt, and it’s the most wholesome thing I’ve seen today.

They followed this up with a comment saying, “I’ll never ingi these guys again,” meaning they’ll never flame them alive again. Harsh.

“Cats will do this as well,”claims another Redditorin the thread. Also something I wasn’t aware of.

It gets more wholesome, though slightly creepy, with this anecdote from Careful_Swordfish742who says, “I went around that tavern with all the cats right outside of Novigrad and I would axii all the cats. Loved watching them follow me around in a single file line around the tavern.”

Who knew Geralt could be such an animal lover?

The Witcher 3is on my list to replay very soon, so I’ll have to remember this tip. Hopefully we’ll get this level of detail fromThe Witcher 4, too.
