YouTuberxLetalisspent over a year searching for one specific Easter egg inThe Witcher 3after one of game’s quest designers, Philipp Weber, hinted that there was one more to find.
xLetalis had previously made a video about Vivienne de Tabris, one of the characters in the amazingBlood And Wineexpansion. Weber responded to the upload, asking when players might finally find “Vivienne’s last secret”.
Predictably, the community took this as a challenge and rallied to find what Weber had been referring to. With the search narrowed down, xLetalis was finally able to find it. If you’re keen to find out what, exactly, it was, we need to talk spoilers for a moment.
Geralt first meets Vivienne in aBlood And Winequest called ‘The Warble of a Smitten Knight’. He discovers that the lady-in-waiting has been the victim of a terrible curse since birth, one that is slowly turning her into a bird. Standard fantasy fare.

While the quest has multiple endings, one solution sees the cursed moved from Vivienne to a bird’s egg. Alas, there’s always a catch where magic is involved, and in this case it’s that Vivienne will be dead in seven years.
Assuming this is the option you pursue, Vivienne will choose to spend her remaining years exploring the world. And so, xLetalis usedThe Witcher 3’s console commands to move Vivienne to Skellige and speed up time to pass seven full years in-game. As it turns out, poor old Vivienne does, in fact, drop down dead. Not the happiest Easter egg, I admit.
