The Witcher 4 release date update confirms we’re in for a wait

CD Projekt Red has quite a lot on its plate at the moment. When you look at all the confirmed projects and add in those that are still getting support after release, it’s no surprise thatThe Witcher 4is still some way off.

This goes some way to backing up statements made on a recent podcast that the Witcher sequel is still a few years out.

We were big fans of theCyberpunk 2077DLC,Phantom Liberty, upon release

Appearing on the Flow Games podcast,Cyberpunk 2077sequel director Pawel Sasko said that most of the studio’s projects are in the “early stages.”

Sasko went on to say, “The only difference is the Polaris project, so the new Witcher saga, that will enter production. That is the most advanced of all of those.”

We now know that the next installment in the franchise is leading the way in terms of production and even then, it’s still in what the team would call the early stages.

This means we’ll still have to wait a few years before we see much of the game, though it’s likely the studio will drop a teaser at some point to give us an idea of which direction we’re heading in with regards to story and characters.
