Fans ofThe Witcherwon’t have been surprised to see thatThe Witcher IVis delivering on the promise shown at the end ofThe Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt’sgood ending: Ciri is now a fully fledged Witcher, and she’ll be our hero for the new game.

Fans probably already picked up on the fact the gravelly voice at the end ofThe Witcher IVtrailer was Geralt’s. “Time for a new saga,” he proclaims. “See you on the path.”
CD Projekt RED joint-CEO Michal Nowakowski took to Twitter after the trailer aired toconfirm beyond any doubtthat it was Geralt we heard, adding that “he’s still there.”
That implies to me Geralt is very much still alive, unless his ghostly ass is hanging around to play Gwent with Ciri or something. Probably not, though.

How big a role Geralt plays inThe Witcher IVremains to be seen. This is, after all, Ciri’s turn in the spotlight, so keeping him relegated to supporting player seems the best bet.
I should stress though, if anything untoward happens to The White Wolf over the course of the game, I will flip tables and scream until I poop myself. You have been warned, CD Projekt RED.
