
Yesterday was a big day for fans of CD Projekt Red’s hit titles after the developers released an exciting update for its future projects.
The release of CD Projekt Red’s Q1 2024 earnings report meant that it was time for fans to get a glimpse into what the future holds for the developers ofThe Witcherand Cyberpunk series.

With thereportshowing that a decent chunk of its workforce were hard at work on theCyberpunk 2077sequel, codenamed Project Orion, it also revealed that development onThe Witcher 4was in full swing with 400 people working on Project Polaris as of 30 April 2024.

It appears that development is going so well thatThe Witcher 4is set to enter its production phase in the second half of 2024 which could mean that the title will arrive a lot sooner than we first thought.
Not much is yet known about the next instalment in the series but back in April, joint CEO ofCD Projekt Red, Michał Nowakowski did assure fans that it will not be “The Witcher 3in new clothing”.
“When it comes to the risks of innovative elements, making a new game is always a creative risk, especially since we’re trying to push new boundaries and explore new fields; that’s something we haven’t actually done before,” he continued.

“This is a pretty broad paintbrush stroke, for sure, but I cannot go into too much detail without actually talking about the game per se.”
It remains to be seen which directionThe Witcher 4will go in but it’s exciting to hear how well the project is coming along so far.
