It’s a shame what has happened toThe WitcherTV show. TheNetflixlive-action adaptation started off strongly with its first season and while there were a few inconsistencies with the source material for the most part it impressed fans.

The fourth season ofThe Witcheris set to drop sometime in 2025 provided it’s not cancelled, and while they wait with pitchforks and torches in hand, fans have been speculating what made Cavill leave the show in the first place.
While it could just be that he was tired of the work and wanted to move onto another project many believe it was the story straying so far from the books that caused the departure.
A tweet from mofromyt showed aclipof Cavill in an interview with series showrunner Lauren Hissrich who’s said she found the actor to be “really annoying” due to his insistence on staying true to the source material.

Fans said “I don’t blame him for walking away,” and believe future seasons will be rock bottom for the show without Cavill there to keep viewers engaged.
The fourth season of The Witcher is expected to air in 2025 on Netflix.
