The Witcher officially returns 2025 in new adventure starring Geralt

This is joyous news. Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle is finally set to return in an all-new adventure next year, although it’s not one of video game variety.

No. Doug will voice Geralt inNetflix’s upcomingThe Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, an animated fantasy drama film.

Originally announced in 2021, the film was initially slated to star Henry Cavill in the leading role but following the actor’s departure from the live-action Netflix series, the role in this film was handed to Doug Cockle which is a major win in my book.

You may recall thatSirens of the Deepwas, once upon a time, revealed to be launching in 2024.

Well, we now know that it’ll instead be debuting in early 2025, on 11 February to be exact.

To celebrate the announcement as part of Netflix’s Geeked Week, a new clip of the film has been released, showing Doug in action.

We don’t have anything in the way of a runtime yet, but the preceding Witcher animated film,Nightmare of the Wolf, ran for one hour and 23 minutes, to give you an indication of what the approximate length might be.

February may feel like a long way off with Halloween, Christmas, and much more on the way but I’m sure it’ll be here before we know it.
