Based on the novels from Andrzej Sapkowski, CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher franchise is considered to be one of the best RPG franchises of all time. Well, at least with 2015’sThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

In October 2022, CD Projekt announced that it had multiple new games in the works with not only asequel toCyberpunk 2077but also abrand new Witcher trilogyas well as a new Witcher multiplayer title and more. The latter of which is the topic of today’s discussion.

The job listing in question is for a senior or principal level designer and requires the would-be applicant to help “create gameplay rich and environmental story-dense spaces for our next title,” as well as “drive the creation of spaces set in the Slavic open world of The Witcher that support telling the story of this world while supporting a rich palette of gameplay systems.” What’s more, it’s also required for the potential recruit to have “experience building for multiplayer”.
At this time, the Witcher multiplayer game does not have a release date, but it might be safe to assume that it will be released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also likely that its release could be a couple of years away at least.
