However, whileWitcher 3is fantastic, and responsible for the majority of the fanbase due to the enormous hype surrounding its release the other two games deserve a bit of love too.

This is especially true of the first game, which was released exclusively forPCin 2007 and has never seen a re-release onXboxandPlayStationplatforms.
It plays very differently compared to the sequels, focusing more on the combat and linear levels rather than an open world to explore and survive in, though that doesn’t mean it isn’t worthy of some credit every now and then.
Some fans certainly think so, as one has posted aconcept videoof what the first Witcher game could look like if it was remade inUnreal Engine5 and it looks exceptional.

A remake is officially thought to be in the works but CDPR developers are currently hard at work onThe Witcher 4, as well as a sequel to theCyberpunk 2077, both of which will reportedly use Unreal Engine 5.
