When the developers call Militsioner surreal, they really mean it. The game could be called more than surreal. ‘Weird’ is a good word for it, as is ‘unsettling’. When you read the blurb for the game it doesn’t sound too strange, but then you see the trailer.
So, as the blurb says, “Militsioneris a first-person surreal immersive runaway simulator. The Giant-Policeman keeps order in town. You haven’t broken the law, have you? Of course, someone must have been telling lies, but this morning you were arrested.” You will read the term “Giant-Policeman” and probably think of Mr X fromResident Evil 2, but no. Think more like Jack and the Beanstalk.
Bringing the horror is easy for Resident Evil 2
Available forSteamin the future, it seems the game will only come toPC. And it sounds very unique. “Plan Your Escape From the Giant-policeman.” It sounds easy right? But from the trailer we can see the central character moving from house to house in an attempt to stay safe, every once in a while the camera pans up to show an enormous policeman giving them the side eye. It’s oddly unsettling while also being ludicrously funny.

I think what I love most about this bizarre sandbox is that the giant policeman is apparently a “Giant AI character with emotions and distinct moral compass” so we can probably expect him to react to what we do down in the city quite often and give us plenty of highlights.
