
With Marvel’s plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe seemingly up in the air after the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, rumours of who will headAvengers: Secret Warare in full force.
Despite not expected to be released until at least 2027,Marvelfans are already looking forward to the revival of theAvengers. However, with the majority of its main cast now canonically dead, it remains to be seen what bunch of superheroes we will see team up. Luckily, we may already have a slight idea thanks to one insider.

If this is true, this would see Holland’s Spider-Man take over as the poster boy of the franchise, replacing his former mentor Tony Stark/Iron Man. With Spider-Man taking somewhat of a backseat role in the previousAvengersmovies, it will be interesting to see how different it will be with the web-crawler at the helm.
With rumours that the MCU will be receiving a reboot with the upcomingAvengers: Secret War,we could see the movies follow more closely to the original comic book material. Additionally, with recent reports that Marvel executives had consideredbringing back characterssuch as Iron Man and Black Widow for an originalAvengerslineup, it is anybody’s guess how the future of the MCU will play out.
