As a long time fan of Tomb Raider, specifically the classic PlayStation games, it brings me no pleasure to see Lara reduced to a pair of breasts once again.
Maybe we should have seen this coming – when the games launched back in the 1990s, cheats to get Lara with her kit off were rife, and not only because of teenage boys alone in their bedrooms. There were grown men alone in their bedrooms too.
It’s sad to see the onslaught of nude mods now thatTomb RaiderI-III Remasteredhas launched. In just under 12 hours, gamers were sharing mods to remove Lara’s clothes so she was adventuring in the nude, with some being so crass to ask to see the “poon”. Yes, that gave us the ick too.

Thankfully though, in amongst all the nude Lara mods, there’s light at the end of the tunnel from gamers who’ve been planning their revenge on Lara’s long suffering butler. I admit, I was one of the players who locked the poor guy in the freezer back in the day; to see so many once againlock him in the freezeris ironically heartwarming.

I for one, however, am delighted to see Tomb Raider back on top and flooding socials with Lara’s daredevil antics. I’d prefer less creepy mods, but I’ve come to learn that we can never have nice things for long in the gaming community.
