In September 2023 we were taken back to the series roots of the Assassin’s Creed series withAssassin’s Creed Mirageand with that, it’s given me a taste of yesteryear and what could be. As such, I think it’s about time for the originalAssassin’s Creedto get the remake that it truly deserves.
Over 16 years ago, we were graced withAssassin’s Creedwhen it arrived in 2007 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Was the OGAssassin’s Creeda perfect game, no? That being said, it would be the catalyst of one ofUbisoft’smost popular series and without it, some could argue that the publisher may not have reached the heights that it has today.

WhenAssassin’s Creed Miragewas released we soon discovered that it played a lot likeAssassin’s CreedValhalla. This makes sense after all, asAssassin’s Creed Miragewasintended to be an expansionto the 2020 Norse action adventure RPG.
Call me overly optimistic, but I can’t help but think that Ubisoft will eventually give us theAssassin’s Creedremake we crave. Not only would this be great for new and returning fans, but it would also be great to see its protagonist Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad hog the spotlight once more. So come on Ubisoft, make it happen.
