Uncharted fans are split as to who they’d like to see carry the Naughty Dog series forward in the yet-to-be-announced next game.

However, without giving too much away, let’s just say that the concluding events of 2016’sUncharted4: A Thief’sEnd left things open-ended with what might happen in the next game. Perhaps that concept was explored in its 2017 follow-upUncharted: The Lost Legacystarring Chloe Frazier, a veteran character of the series.

At this point, the PlayStation 5 could be the first console not to have abrand new Uncharted game, which would be a damn shame if that remains to be the case when the PlayStation 6 arrives.
With that in mind, Uncharted fans on Reddit have been discussing who could lead the charge inUncharted 5.
Who should be “the next protagonist ofUncharted 5?”askeda Reddi user who conducted a poll of potential suitors and the numbers were quite interesting.

Then, Chole Frazer had 424 votes, Nathan Drake with 577 votes and finally, Nathan and Elena’s daughter, Cassie topped the pole with ease garnering over 1,000 votes from Reddit users.
A few names not included in the poll were Sam (Drake’s brother), Victor Sullivan (Drake’s mentor) and surprisingly, Charlie Cutter, a character that made a memorable appearance inUncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

“Chloe, Nadine Ross and Sam,” Bionic_Ninjas demanded.
“Not gonna lie, a Cassie game would really not interest me. I don’t care for the character .. if anything Charlie and Chloe would be great! I’d love to see them meet up again,” said richboyadler.
Much of the Reddit thread also believes thatUncharted 4: A Thief’s Endended things so well, that there’s no need for a new game. In my opinion, it would be a loss to PlayStation and fans if that was ever the case.
Plus, if a compelling story could be told that justifies anUncharted 5, I believe Naughty Dog would love to bring us a fifth-numbered entry in the series. That’s unless an outsourced studio handles the rumoured remake of the original game.
