It’s officially spider season, and not just because if you also live in the UK, they’re trying to get into your house. Shudder. I’m, of course, talking about the fact thatMarvel’s Spider-Man 2is on the way.

As I’m sure you’re aware, Sony has been slowly building out its own Spidey universe - away from Marvel’s Cinematic Universe - with mixed results. While audiences enjoyedVenomandVenom: Let There Be Carnage,Morbiuscan only be described as a complete and utter disaster. There are several further projects on the way including a further Venom instalment,Kraven The Hunter, andMadame Web- but the plug has been pulled onSilver Sable.

If you’re unfamiliar with Silver Sable, the character is a skilled mercenary and is typically an ally to Spider-Man, although she has been known to get on his bad side. The film reportedly began life asSilver and Blackand would’ve seen Silver Sable hunting down Black Cat. It’s unknown if a solo film about Black Cat remains in the works.
