
Whether you’re a fan of the Call of Duty series or not, there’s no denying that it’s one of the biggest and most profitable franchises of all time and the next big launch is always a massive event.
Following months of speculation, Activision finallyrevealedCall of Duty: Black Ops 6to the world with a very cryptic teaser trailer that revealed very little about the game. However, marketing material appeared to confirm one of the most controversial moments in history, thesetting of the Gulf Warwhich looks to be prominent in the upcomingCall of Dutyrelease.

Other rumours claimed that the former president of Iraq,Saddam Husseinwill be a leading character in the game, which makes sense considering thatBlack Ops 6looks to be set during the Gulf War. There have also been rumours thatBlack Ops 6won’t be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but thankfully, thatappears not to be true.

Furthermore, it’s also been revealed thatBlack Ops 6will launch on Xbox Game Passwith Activision now being a Microsoft-owned company which essentially makes the Call of Duty franchise a first-party property of the green brand despite it being a multi-platform franchise.
“Upon launch,Call of Duty: Black Ops 6will be playable on Xbox and PC for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass for Console members," a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6doesn’t have a solid release date at the time of writing other than a late 2024 launch, but hopefully all will be revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase on 9 June.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6will be released on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
