Xbox drops massive open-world game you can download free now

It’s hard to believe it’s taken this long but finally, Xbox users can enjoy the behemoth that isGenshin Impact.

Genshin’s gacha mechanics aren’t going to be to everybody’s tastes, but there’s plenty to love in this free open-world RPG.

I wonder if HoYoverse had an inkling of just how enormous of a playerbase the game would gather back when they launchedGenshin ImpactonPlayStation4, Windows, and mobile in 2020.

Genshin Impacttransports you to the world of Teyvat, a realm that’s full of elemental energy and consists of seven nations.

You’ll travel to Teyvat with your sibling from another world, but soon become separated.

Essentially, you’ll set out on a journey to find your sibling but, of course, there are plenty of trials that’ll occupy your attention along the way.

As I said, gacha mechanics are involved which determine which characters you unlock - although some are unlocked naturally in-game.

If you want to throw money atGenshin Impact,it certainly permits - and I’d even say encourages - it, but it is possible to enjoy the game with no spends if you’re patient enough.

The only warning I’ll administer is that the game boasts a chunky file so you’ll need around 100GB of space.

If you’re also a Call of Duty andFortniteplayer, I can hear your SSD drive weeping.
