Xbox Game Pass dropping 7 new free games for October

The latest batch of Xbox Game Pass additions have arrived, and I for one, cannot wait to dive in.

With many gamers saying they canno longer justify dropping £70on a brand new unfamiliar game, subscription services are rising in popularity. BothPlayStation PlusandXbox Game Passare prime examples and while both are excellent, it’s probably fair to say that Game Pass is perhaps quicker to nab and add newly launched games, whether that’s as a day one release or a couple of weeks after launch day. The latest line-up proves just that.

Starfieldis available on Game Pass. Take a look at our favourite wins and fails below.

As of right now, you can download 2014’sLike A Dragon: Ishin!on cloud, console, and PC. Then, on 19 October (tomorrow), you can nabF1 Manager 2023also on cloud, console, and PC. On 24 October, users will be able to download and enjoy day one releaseCities: Skylines II. The bad news is that it’s PC only, but an undeniably huge win for PC users. The long-awaited sequel once again allows players to create their own thriving metropolis.

Dead Spaceis then coming to EA Play on 26 October (cloud, pc, and Xbox Series X/S), so you’ll need to be subscribed to EA Play or Game Pass Ultimate in order to gain access. I’m then very excited about the addition ofFrog Detective: The Entire Mystery(cloud and console) also on 26 October. The collection includes all three Frog Detective cases.

Back to the day one releases,Headbangers: Rhythm Royale(cloud, console, and PC) lands on 31 October - the same day that day one releaseJusant(cloud, console, and PC) also arrives. All in all, a great month.
