
Despite speculation and the belief that the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard would mean otherwise, it seems as though the new Call of Duty title will not be arriving to Xbox Game Pass after all.
WithMicrosoftassuring players that its acquisition ofActivision Blizzardwould mean that some of its biggest titles would be included in theXbox Game Passsubscription service, it seems as though that won’t be the case.

This means that Xbox Series X/S users will have to pay the same price asPlayStation 5users for the upcomingCall of Dutytitle which will reportedly beBlack Ops Gulf War.

Expected to be released sometime this year,Black Ops Gulf Waris the next entry in the long-running Call of Duty franchise and despite not having much information about it yet, we can probably expect some more news during the Call of Duty Direct show on 9 June.
However, with rumours that the Xbox Game Pass subscription service will be upping its prices, this could be a way for Microsoft to keep its word with fans.

As for PlayStation users, Sony’s contract with Microsoft means that any Call of Duty title released over the next 10 years will be available on the PlayStation 5. However, this will unfortunately be at full price.
