A number of Xbox gamers appear to have received free store credit out of nowhere, which sounds great! The only issue is they have no idea where it’s actually come from.
You can also exchange your points for aGame Passmembership, sweepstake entries, hardware, or even give your winnings to charity. You can’t tax karma, after all.

Anyway, over on the Microsoft Rewardssubredditone fan has expressed their confusion over a gift card which appears to have come completely out of the blue. Granted, while the reward is not exactly a large one, free money is free money.
“Hello, did anyone else randomly receive a $1.25 gift card for free?” ItsMeZack16 asks. :I’m just confused. I’ll take the free dollar but why?"
They weren’t the only one. A few days ago another Reddit usershared a postconfirming they’d received the same, though they were genuinely worried they might have been hacked or had someone redeem their points without their knowledge.

Either way, if you happen to have found $1.25 in your account just take it and don’t worry, as it all seems to be more or less above board. Just don’t spend it all in one place. Because, you know, it would be impossible to spend that little an amount anywhere. Free is free, though.
