To be fair it’s not exactly a surprise considering theFalloutseries seems to be at an all-time peak right now thanks to thelive-action TV series.

According toa recent episodeof the Xbox Two Podcast, Jez Corden stated that Xbox is aware of the demand for a new game, and sees a problem in Bethesda still finishing work onStarfieldand then releasingThe Elder Scrolls VI. This is pushingFallout 5’srelease date further and further away.
This obviously needs to be taken with a pinch of salt as no official announcements have been made at the time of writing.
That being said, with Fallout TV series already getting a second season, and the playerbase on games likeFallout 4skyrocketingit’d make perfect sense to speed up development of the next mainline game.

Hopefully this doesn’t run the risk of anotherFallout 76scenario, where the game is far too big to meet expectations with such a rushed development cycle.
In the meantime Bethesda fans will likely be looking forward to news onThe Elder Scrolls VI, with many predicting some sort of reveal or tease during a Summer Xbox showcase event.
