Specifically, she confirmed therewillbe a new Xbox console to compete with the PlayStation 6. She also said that it represents “The largest technical leap you’ve ever seen in a hardware generation.”

Bond teased: “There’s some exciting stuff coming out in hardware that we’re going to share this holiday and we’re also invested in the next generation roadmap. And what we’re really focused on there is delivering the largest technical leap you will have ever seen in a hardware generation, which makes it better for players and better for creators and the visions that they’re building.”

Elsewhere on the podcast, Spencer confirmed that fourXboxexclusives are coming toPlayStation 5, though he stopped short of confirming which ones, exactly. We do know thatStarfieldwill in fact remain exclusive, however.

“We think there’s a good brand value for Xbox with these four games, but no promise beyond that,” Spencer said. So if you’re on those other platforms, and you see these four games coming, please don’t take it as some signal thateverything’scoming. It’s not and we’re going to learn. There’s really no fundamental change to how we think about exclusivity."
