When theXboxSeries S was announced, many thought it was a great addition to the new generation of consoles. It allowed players to get a taste of the most modern games at a lower price point.
The Xbox Series S is a more affordable option to join the Xbox family
Previously, the price of the Xbox Series S was between R$2,000 and R$2,500. Now, however, the price has risen to R$3,599. Microsoft only had this to offer in way of reasoning, “At xbox, we remain focused on offering the best gaming experience at a variety of price points, so gamers can choose what best fits their gaming needs and budget.“One Twitter user, Klobrille, has suggested this is “a very unwise decision that needs to be reverted.”

Microsoft’s statement continues, “In the coming weeks, we will begin to communicate price adjustments for Xbox Series S consoles in Brazil. While the console remains an important part of the Xbox ecosystem, we will continue to offer great games, skills and options for gamers in Brazil so they can play how and where they want.”
Whether Microsoft backtrack on this decision, or it’s the start of a wave of increases, it’s hard to tell.
