During this time of year, especially as we’re entering the Christmas season, many of us look to bag a bargain on the latest consoles and games.
So when it comes to purchasing a console such as thePlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, orNintendo Switch, it’s always nice to have it come ready bundled with a copy of a game - something we can dive into straight away, or so you’d expect.

As well as having the option to buy a PlayStation 5 orXbox Series Xwith a disc drive, some of us may choose to pick up the digital-only version of a console. TheXbox Series Sis Microsoft’s most recent digital-only console and for obvious reasons, a retailer wouldn’t bundle it with a physical game, right?

Well, not if we’re talking about German retailer MediaMarkt. Twitter user OnlyGoodGames shared an image of the retailer in question which has bundled the digital-only Xbox Series S console with a physical copy of last year’sFIFA23. To make matters worse, not only is this game unplayable on that console, but it doesn’t even come with the latest football title, the aforementionedEASports FC 24which was released a couple of months ago.
I like to think that with this tweet making the social media rounds, this retailer has updated its bundle accordingly, at least in the store itself. However, seeing as I live 700 miles away from Germany, I won’t be popping into this store to check its prices anytime soon.
