Xbox Series X gamers surprised with free download you can nab without Game Pass

It is no secret that current-gen consoles are slacking when it comes to customisation.

I remember the day I addedThe Last of Us Part 2inspired dynamic background to myPlayStation 4home screen.

Check out the official launch trailer forDragon Age: The Veilguardbelow!

I watched as the torch lights flickered and the scene even changed from day to night depending on when I was using my console.

However, dynamic backgrounds for thePlayStation 5andXbox Series X/Sleave a lot to be desired.

Nevertheless,Microsoftis still dedicated to adding them and this time, it has focused its attention on the launch of a major new title.

To celebrate the launch ofDragon Age: The Veilguard, which launched last week,EAhas added two new dynamic backgrounds to the Xbox Series X/S.

Dedicated to the brand-newBioWareRPG, the two backgrounds depict two separate scenes: one with red and purple tones and a terrifying dragon at the centre whilst the other features cooler tones and scenery of Minrathous.

Giving it 10/10, shesaid: “Dragon Age: The Veilguardis exactly what we needed afterInquisition. From the moment I stepped onto Minrathous’ streets, it felt like coming home.

After such an agonising wait, the franchise I adore is back as strong as ever. It respects what’s gone before while also welcoming change and innovation.”
