Xbox Series X/S major new feature available right now

What a week it is shaping up to be for Xbox players. Major new RPG? Tick. Fresh console update with several highly-requested features? Tick.

That major new RPG is very clearlyStarfield. Bethesda’s space epic has finally landed (or should I say taken flight) and on the whole, it’s been well received. Inour review, we wrote, “Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of.Starfieldis that game. This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be.Bethesdahas created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout.” If you’ve fired up your console to dive in, youmay have noticed a few new changes, including an important update to the system’s VRR.

Take a look at ourStarfieldreview below.

What’s VRR, I hear you say? It’s the console’s Variable Refresh Rate which is essentially a feature that improves the appearance of what you see on your screen, ensuring you see a smooth picture and don’t suffer from any frame shudders or screen tearing. Well, the latest Xbox update just vastly improved the VRR options available.

The latest update also introduces streaming to Discord, plus you can now invite friends to play with you more easily. My favourite though: being able to pair a new controller without standing up to press the console’s pair button. Come on, we’re all a little bit lazy.
