It also wouldn’t let you call specific friends, for that you’d again need a computer or mobile phone and then transfer the call to your Xbox with the app, not the worst thing in the world but far from practical.

Fear not though as those features have finally been added through a recent update, and are a complete game changer for when you want to play some multiplayer games with your friends, especially if they play onPC.

In a recent update Xboxsaid"It’s now easier to get updates when one of your Discord friends is playing, chatting, or streaming. Now you can jump into voice chat with them or watch their stream – all on your Xbox console, without having to use the Discord app on PC or mobile."

You can enjoy this updated version of Discord on Xbox right now once you’ve downloaded the latest update.

Unfortunately the same can’t be said forPlayStation5 users at the time of writing, who received their Discord integration much later than Xbox did.

Don’t worry though, I’m sure both systems will have the same levels of support sooner or later.
