Alas, once this new feature leaves Alpha and drops for everyone in the coming weeks or months, we’ll be able to pair devices without going anywhere near the button on the console. You can see it in action below.
I am, of course, being facetious when I say this update will ruin lives. Many gamers have shared the same joke: that getting up to pair a controller is maybe one of the only times in a day we can be encouraged to move during a particularly lazy binge.
But this feature is actually a huge accessibility improvement for gamers who aren’t actually able to get up and walk over to the console to pair a new controller, and I’m thrilled to see it’s coming sooner rather than later.

In other Xbox news,Starfieldfans are currently bracing fora potential day one patch for the sci-fi RPG. Even though you’ll soon be able to download the game regardless of whether or not you pre-ordered, the fear of a meaty patch filled with day one fixes remains ever-present.
