Xbox unleashes 2025 RPG that’ll scratch your Elder Scrolls 6 itch

The minds behindFallout: New Vegas,Alpha ProtocolandDungeon Siege IIIhave revealed the release date of their upcoming first-person RPG,Avowed.

“Arriving on February 18, 2025,”reads the post, “Avowedbrings you to a previously unseen region from the unforgettable world of Eora, first introduced in the award-winning Pillars of Eternity. In your role as envoy, alongside your companions, you’ll uncover hidden truths and navigate delicate situations, where every choice shapes the fate of the land and the people living here.”

Avowedhas a lot of hype behind it, mostly because it’s the first AAA title that Obsidian Entertainment has worked on since Microsoft purchased the developer back in 2018.

A lot fans of the studio are also extra excited to see what the developer can do with a first-person,Elder Scrolls-esque title - considering the positive reception thatFallout: New Vegasgarnered.

Obsidian also announced that, as expected,Game Passholders will be able to get ahold ofAvowedon the day it drops.

Personally I’ve been pretty excited forAvowedfor a while now. What we’ve seen out of the title so far looks extremely impressive, and given the developer’s track record, I thinkAvowedcould end up being something pretty special.

We’ll have to wait until 18 February (or 13 February if you pre-order) to find out for sure however.
